Ground Control Point Archive

Since 1994, CompassData has collected over 15,494 ground control points (GCP) around the world for a variety of clients and applications. Our World Map displays our points throughout the globe.

All the points on the map are now available to purchase with the use of our Ground Control Point Archive. Each GCP can be downloaded and is provided to the customer with all supporting metadata, imagery, and point sketches, accuracy reports and station diagrams.

Access to existing control with metadata provides a distinct advantage when planning an image collection project; overhead imagery can be planned to capture existing nearby control locations in lieu of sending out a survey crew to collect new points, usually with considerable savings in both cost and time.
